Diego Guido (PhD) is a senior technical advisor to Argentex in Argentina. He has focused his career on economic precious metal geology, combining scientific research, academic duties and consulting mining activities in Argentina's Patagonia region.
Dr. Guido is a specialist in epithermal precious metal deposits in Patagonia's Deseado Massif. His background includes consulting work on silver and gold properties for junior and major mining companies, as well as work with the Argentinean National Commission of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). Currently a researcher with CONICET, Dr. Guido also teaches a variety of geology courses at La Plata University in Buenos Aires. Dr. Guido was appointed as a Technical Advisor to Argentex in April of 2005.
Sebastian Jovic is a technical advisor for Argentex. Mr. Jovic works at the Mineral Resources Institute (INREMI), an institute for Patagonian epithermal deposits research, at La Plata University. Working under a four-year scholarship from CONICET, Mr. Jovic is a PhD candidate at La Plata University studying the economic geology of the Pinguino area. He was the recipient of a 2005 Hugh E. McKinstry Student Research Award from the Society of Economic Geologists. This award is granted annually to students whose projects involve the study of mines or ore districts, topical studies toward improved understanding of ore genesis and experimental research with field applications. Mr. Jovic was the only 2005 recipient working on research in Argentina. Mr. Jovic was appointed as a Technical Advisor to Argentex in April of 2005.
